Rude World

You think the world is too rude these days? Well get over it, because the world isn't good or bad, rude or polite.  The world is what you make of it.

You choose your perceptions of the world. If you believe it's a good place, it will be that way for you. If you believe it's a bad place, it will be that way, too.

Reality is very accommodating that way.

Travelling Riverside Blues

If your life is only about the destinations and never the journey to get there, you're going to miss out on a heck of a lot of life.

Even if your journey is well planned you'll probably be singing the blues as you travel.  Even if you never reach your destination, though, if you enjoy the journey you'll have gained in the end.

Worried that you're out of touch with the latest tech?  Worried you'll be left behind, that you're out of time?

You are out of time.  That is, you aren't truly limited by it.  You're born with all the time you need to accomplish what you are here for.

Believe it -- it's never too late to reach beyond what you have.

Teasers

Everyone puts out teasers these days.  Multiple movie trailers that suck you in to burning for the movie to come out.  Musical teasers that make you yearn for fulfillment.

That's how you do Magick.  Make a teaser of your desired future - in your soul if not in physical reality - and then burn and yearn for it.

Make it so.

Fresh Garbage

Fresh garbage might not smell as bad as old garbage, but it still smells -- and who wants that?

Fresh memories or old ones - they can be as stinky and rotten to you as garbage. But you know what? After a while garbage can become compost and grow wonderful things.

So can those rotten memories, if you let them.

Shapes of Things To Come

They say you can't get to where you want to go if you don't have a destination in mind.

It's also true that you can't get to where you want to go if you're only looking in the rear view mirror.  You can't fix the past, of course, but you can use it to help you shape the things to come.

Only if you keep looking forward, that is.

Ain't no denyin'

We are all travelers of time and space, there can be no denying that. But we do deny, don't we.

We pretend things aren't the way they are, or that we can't change them. But we can, and we must, because denying just a form of buying in to what you don't want.

Accept -- and move on. Take yourself to where you want to be.

Liquid Mercury

Mercury is an interesting substance.  It's beautiful, it's unusual, and it's deadly.

Just like a lot of stuff in life.

You don't avoid the parts of life that are risky, you just be careful.  Especially around the parts that are most alluring.

Friends

People believe that without a friend they're incomplete.  That's not true.

Completeness comes from inside of you, not from outside.

Of course anytime somebody needs you, don't let them down. But do it from Power and compassion, not because you're trying to gain a friend.

The Song Remains The Same

"I had a dream. Crazy dream. Anything I wanted to know, any place I needed to go". Isn't it interesting how the most inspirational and powerful creations start with a dream?

If you can dream, you can can create.  There is your power, for power starts with a dream.

You've heard this song before but now listen to this: Magick always remains the same. You first must choose to dream and then you must choose to follow your desire.

I'm Confused

Are you confused about the chicken vs. the egg? Don't be. It's always been the wrong question to ask.

The chicken is the egg and the egg is the chicken. So it is with Magick.

If you absolutely trust that you will get what you desire, then you won't worry about what you desire manifesting. And if you don't worry about what what you desire manifesting, you absolutely will get what you desire. 

Not confusing, though it might be a little dazing.

Glimpses

We are want it now beings.  But be happy that Magick in the real world usually takes time to manifest. That's a good thing.

Set your desire, begin your ritual, but be patient and flexible. Be alert for glimpses of what could be.  Let the Magick take its time to ripen because what you want can turn out even better than you imagine if you allow it to.

Whole Lotta Love

See here's the thing.  You only have so much time.

If you're so busy doing what you don't love doing, telling yourself it's so you can eventually do the things you really want to do, then you might end up never getting around to what it is you want to do.

Enjoy the journey.  Life's too short to live without a whole lotta love for every minute of it.

City Sirens

What does it take to get your attention? Sirens? Trumpet blasts? Yelling and screaming? The long arm of the law? A slap aside the head?

Shhhh. The most valuable messages come from the quiet, shy voice in your soul. Turn your attention there and let the Magick flow through.

Magick in life?  Just darken the room, shut your eyes and listen to the music of a Master.

Magick in your life?  Just keep your eyes shut, but now turn off the music and listen to your Self.

White Summer / Black Mountain Side

Yeah, yeah - we all want what we want right now.  We expect to do our rituals and get immediate results, as if Magick was such a black and white thing, as if it was just a matter or flipping a switch.

Um.  Well, it is.  Sorta.

Magick changes your reality just as fast as you get it right.  So don't be blaming the Universe if it's not as fast as you had in mind.

Even Jimmy Page had to practice, you know.

Everything You Need

If you decide there isn't enough of something you put yourself in a place that blocks the Magick from bringing what you do want into your life.

The Universe has everything you need and there is no limitation on getting what you want if you identify what you want. Identifying what you don't have is sending the wrong message!

For Your Life

For the sake of the life you really want, you have to stop focusing on what is and start focusing on what you want. When you are fully invested in what you want, your whole life becomes the ritual of Magick and the Universe scrambles to match your desire.

That's what Magick is for:  Changing your reality.  For your life.

If You Don't Know

If you don't know what the purpose of life is or why you are here, that's probably because you're looking in the wrong place.

You need to seek within to find your Magick.  You use your Magick to connect to the energy of the Universe, where all answers exist.

And it turns out you can't know, anyway.  Those questions can never be answered - they are koans meant to be constantly reviewed and renewed as greater wisdom is achieved over time.  So don't worry if you don't know.  No one does.

You think Magick is going to just change one thing in your life?  Hah!

You'll never be satisfied. You shouldn't be satisfied.  You are the artist who creates your life and you get to tweak and play with your reality right to the very end.
